Pastoral Counselling

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my Yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30

What is Pastoral Counselling?

Pastoral counselling is a form of therapy that gives special attention to the role that spirituality plays in a person’s mental health and overall well-being. Pastoral counselling provides guidance based on the belief that when one learns how to explore their soul, one can truly start to heal and grow. Pastoral counselling embraces care for the whole person by integrating mental health counselling with one’s spirituality.

Pastoral Counselling addresses issues such as:

Adult Child Disappointment, Aging Parents, Anger Toward God, Child’s Serious Illness, Chronic Illness, Death of a Child, Death of a Spouse, Dependent Adult Child, Depression, Divorce, Family Conflict, Financial Crisis, Guilt, Infertility, Interpersonal Hurt, Legal Problems, Loneliness, Marital Conflict, Medical Condition, Mental Illness in the Family, Parent-Child Conflict/Adolescence, Prayer Struggles, Religion/Spirituality Differences, Sexual Abuse Victim, Sexual Orientation Conflict, Spiritual Doubts, Substance Use, Suicidal Ideation, Unemployment, Unwanted Pregnancy, and more…
